Portraits: Of Jane

Originally inspired, moons ago, by her journalism research & lived experience, Betsy creates portraits of women whose ethnicity is often “ambiguous,” to counter the scarcity of women & girls like her depicted in media. Gaze also performs an important role here, as she explores the interplay between sexuality, sensuality, vulnerability, and power.
